Today was one of those days where you might have to call your banker and check your credit score before you call the fish cleaner.

Before I get started with the report, let me remind you all that my full day wreck fishing trips during the fall are $1200/day during the week and $1350/day on weekends This trip is only available in a full day and while I may possibly do some walk ons, I do not actively schedule walk ons. They are always last minute. This fishing is just getting started and will last all the way through the fall.

Today started off scary. My group today was my mate Shawn's dad and friends. We pull put of the slip headed towards the fishing grounds, get ten miles out and Jimmy is laying on the ground unconscious showing signs of a heart attack. He is 52 years old, a diabetic with heart disease, and he just had 2 stents put in his heart in january. So we called shore, had an ambulance waiting and ran wide open back to the dock. Jimmy turned out to be ok, and it was just a bad reaction between the dramamine he took and some of the other meds he takes. Once we had Jimmy safely under the care of EMT's, we left Jimmy to seek further medical treatment and we headed back out.

We checked a couple places and it was nothing here, nothing there, little here, little there. Then we got to a spot a little inshore of where we would typically fish and it was game on. Within 2 hours of fishing, we caught a limit of 90 nice seabass up to 4 pounds, we caught a limit of 24 flounder up to 24". We caught about a dozen triggerfish including a 5# Virginia citation and another 4# virginia citation. And we also caught a couple weird things like a blowtoad, a false albacore on a flounder rig, and a double header on a sea bass rig of 2 foot long remoras.

And just for good measure, on the way in we saw a pack of cobias and caught a nice 45"er outside the inlet.

So even though the morning started off tough, it ended great. Most importantly Jimmy is o.k. but we have a ton of fish on the dock, everyone had a great time, and we are all going home with more meat than Arby's.

I have plenty of dates available for charter and we are currently booking these trips. Fall fishing in Virginia Beach can be some of the best fishing anywhere, and like I said, this great fishing on the wrecks should continue at least past thanksgiving. Give me a call
